We are always looking for new players to join us – and it really doesn’t matter how good you are, or even if you have played the game before! The only thing we ask for is enthusiasm, and commitment. Everyone has to start somewhere, and you will find BCC to be a welcoming and friendly place.

There is a lot to cricket, it is very tactical, and it covers a lot of disciplines. Typically, it is unusual to find someone who is adept at all parts of the sport, players often specialise as a batsman or a bowler, but whatever you turn out to be, we will find room for you if you are prepared to put a little time in. We have several qualified English Cricket Board & Cricket Ireland Coaches at the club, and as long as you can take some constructive criticism, it will not take you long to start realising your potential.

The rules, to someone who has not played before can appear complicated and confusing, but it really doesn’t take long to get up to speed.

Our cricket matches typically last for around six hours or so – with a break for tea in the middle – and even though it is not a high impact game if compared to GAA , rugby, or soccer, it still takes it out of you! You will get a few bumps and bruises along the way – there always comes a time when you have to take one for the team!

Games are always played in the true spirit of cricket, hard but fair. To get more of an overview of this follow the links to the right of this page.

If you want to know more, click on some of the links to the right of this page...we have tried to cover all bases!

If you fancy giving it a go, Contact Us and organise a time to come down. We will make sure you get a warm welcome!

Training takes place at our picturesque ground, McGrath Park, from April to September on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6pm – although you are encouraged to turn up a little earlier to help set up! If you are new to the club, please go to the Find Us page to find out where we are and how to get in touch.

We are always looking for new members, even if you haven’t played before. Cricket is a wonderful, sociable sport, and you need a range of talents to be successful. But most of all, you need to be enthusiastic! We welcome new members of all levels, and we promise that if you are committed, we will find a place for you.

We are a friendly bunch. Come and join in!
